Hi Friends! It has been a while since I have posted. Life has been super busy. It can be super busy balancing school, mission work, being a friend. It has been great to be busy, and have many ways the Lord is developing me. I thought I would give some quick updates about ministry, school, spiritual life, future plans, and prayer requests.
Ministry:
I have been working in the clinic still. I work with Brendaliz and Miranda (and sometimes Miranda’s baby Samantha Skyler). We have had a lot of patients come in for our pregnancy program. In this, about 8 are teenagers younger than me. It is heartbreaking to hear some of their stories. This has been a real challenge in ministry. I hope for the best for these girls and that the Lord will protect each of them.
School:
I have just finished a challenging quarter of school! I passed with great grades and am blessed to be able to take my general classes while serving. I know have one more quarter with less of a workload. Praise Jesus for that! I am excited to have more time on my hands!
Spiritual Life:
I have recently been reflecting on John 3:30, “He must become greater and greater and I must become less and less.” This is such a simple verse but challenges every aspect of my life. By becoming less of who I was, I give Jesus more room to shine through me. I am a sinner, yet through Jesus alone, I am pleasing to the Lord. I am truly glad to have the Lord refine me and make me more like His Son. (Challenge: Try to make one decision today that makes the Lord bigger in your life.)
Future Plans:
I will go home to Colorado on May 13th. This is coming up sooo soon. I am excited to see everyone, yet sad to say goodbye to my second family here.
Exciting news!!! I have recently turned in an application to serve in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic for the school year of 2021-2022!!! I have really heard the Lord calling me to serve another year in the Dominican through Students International. He calls us to live out the Grand Commission and I cannot wait to continue to live it out everywhere I go.
Prayer Requests:
-The clinic and our patients. I pray especially for the new teen mothers and their babies. I pray for health for the clinic staff and protection against all viruses.
-My future plans. I have an interview next Thursday for continuing my work here next year. I would love for wisdom for all involved and the Lord’s provision in every aspect.
-Fundraising. I am currently $400 away from being FULLY FUNDRAISED for this year. Praise God for His continuous provision. Thank you all who have supported me financially and in prayer.
Blessings to you all,
B :)
